Scott and I took the plunge and went to Monterey for a long weekend in April. The last time we had gone to Monterey together was 10 years ago when we first started dating and visited over the 4th of July weekend. This time was, shall we say, quite different. Kids in tow, we stayed at The Embassy Suites, which was perfect, except for the fact that we were relegated to the bathroom once the girls were sleeping. We went to the Aquarium, and probably spent more time eating in the cafe than visiting the actual exhibits. And we became fans of Chile's and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in ways we never imagined we would. But we did have some highlights, like swimming in the pool at the hotel and going to an amazing playground called Dennis the Menace. So although we wouldn't call it a "vacation" for us, it was definitely an adventure!
