Last Day with Grandparents - Boo Hoo!

I realize it's a lot easier to take a photo of Cassie than Calista, who is so busy and on the move. We all took the girls to our playground across the street on the last day with Grandma Weezie and Grandpa Mike. Calista is getting more and more adventurous - and wishes she could do the monkey bars all by herself already. Calista is already getting excited about going to CT next month - in fact - the other day she told me that when she turns 5, she is going to college in CT and I will cry because I will miss her. Now I guess the big question is, will it be Yale, Wesleyan, Connecticut College or somewhere else!?

Loving the Grandparents

Yay - the girls were so happy to hang out, read, play and go outside with their grandparents. Scott and I were so happy to have some help and entertainment for the kids! Win win!

The Baby and the Bradys

On June 4, Grandma Weezie and Grandpa Mike came to visit for the weekend and brought the sun with them (we had such a rainy spring!). Calista always asks what day it is when she first wakes up, so when I said, "Friday," she started jumping up and down exclaiming, "I'm so excited! I get to see Grandma Weezie and Grandpa Mike today!" She's really getting her days of the week down. It's pretty neat. I also wanted to mention how much Cassandra and Claire have bonded. Cassie loves her nanny so much. It's pretty fun every morning because we play "Pass the Baby" and she turns around so she can get passed back and forth between us.

Bonding Time

It's still rare, but on occasion Calista actually plays with Cassandra. Cassandra of course adores her big sister. In contrast, Calista hasn't entirely embraced the idea that having a little sister is super cool and fun. But...she can be sweet and we are trying to celebrate those moments. Like last month, Calista wanted to wear matching footie pajamas together (May 27), and then play in proximity (May 31) and transform our living room into a total toy jungle. Slowly but surely...we are hoping they will be good friends and close sisters...

Sitting Up Up Up

Cassandra started sitting up by herself last month as well. Growing so fast! Here's our little cutie on May 22.

Let's Go Red Sox! Or Shoes?

Here's our baby sporting a Red Sox onesie. You go girl. Also - Cassandra started rolling around in May - and sometimes got herself stuck under beds, in corners, near tables...little cutie may also have discovered a thing for shoes as seen here on May 13.

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day we went to Yank Sing for brunch. So delicious - and Calista loved it too! BTW - she picked out her outfit - like she almost always does now. She is so cute when she wants to get all dressed up.

Sisters!

Cute photos of the girls playing together in Calista's crib. We keep waiting for her to move out into her big girl bed...but that girl really loves her crib. These were taken on May 2 and May 23, respectively. They both thought it was so much fun to play peek-a-boo under the blanket.

Dennis the Menace

Here are some fun photos from the Dennis the Menace playground in Monterey. It's truly an incredible experience. We were amazed by Calista's rock-climbing prowess. And grateful that this proved to be perfect place to take her before her nap in the car!

More Monterey Photos

Photos from the hotel room and the Aquarium. It's always sweet to see the girls interacting with each other. Cassie loves Calista SO much. Like I said earlier - altho we spent a lot of time in the cafe, at least there was a pretty view of the ocean! Also - Calista thought it was hysterical to get into Cassandra's carseat/stroller. Goodness gracious!

Monterey with Munchkins

Scott and I took the plunge and went to Monterey for a long weekend in April. The last time we had gone to Monterey together was 10 years ago when we first started dating and visited over the 4th of July weekend. This time was, shall we say, quite different. Kids in tow, we stayed at The Embassy Suites, which was perfect, except for the fact that we were relegated to the bathroom once the girls were sleeping. We went to the Aquarium, and probably spent more time eating in the cafe than visiting the actual exhibits. And we became fans of Chile's and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in ways we never imagined we would. But we did have some highlights, like swimming in the pool at the hotel and going to an amazing playground called Dennis the Menace. So although we wouldn't call it a "vacation" for us, it was definitely an adventure!

Cassandra's 6-Month B-Day

Super Cutie-Petutie turning 6 months old! It feels like her first half-year has flown by. Now if we could just get her to sleep through the night!

Sesame Street at the Zoo

We took Calista and Cassandra to the zoo to meet Bert, Ernie and Grover, thinking Calista's head would explode from excitement. Of course, she was a bit shy, and it was me and Scott who got all into it! Oh well. The great thing about the zoo is that we always have a great time there, regardless of the circumstances.
