My sister Kirsten came back a final time before setting off for Mali and Ghana. Calista misses her aunt something terrible! Come back as soon as you can Kirsten! Here they are eating, hanging out with me, playing patty-cake, and reading. (Calista likes to turn the pages, by the way!) What a life!

We Love Connecticut

We had so much fun in Connecticut. It was such a treat to see Scott's family and introduce Calista to new experiences -- like motorboats, lakes and pools. Thanks again for the hospitality. We hope it won't be too long before we are back!

Scott's friend Ben visited us from Boston and brought his wife Jean and three boys, Harrison, Leo and David (Dash) to the Lake House. Jean's pregnant with a fourth -- congratulations! Some turtles must have been inspired too, eh hem. ;-)

Nonni and Kirsten Visit Us!

My mom came down for a week in June to help Calista make friends with her bottle and spend some quality time with us. Nonni made a lot of progress, but it seems like Calista just prefers her sippy cup after all. It was great seeing my mom and sister again. Kirsten is now in Africa for seven months -- we miss you so much! Here's my mom with Calista in her new favorite toy -- a stroller from Nonni!
